Nourish Africa proudly introduces Nyumba Yangu, Mti Wangu (My Home, My Tree), a groundbreaking initiative for Green and Smart Cities. This program empowers households to be part of urban reforestation by planting native and fruit trees, transforming cities into climate-resilient, sustainable, and livable spaces.
By integrating trees into urban homes, we improve air quality, reduce urban heat, enhance biodiversity, and promote food security. These trees provide shade, reduce energy costs, support local economies, and strengthen climate resilience. More than just tree planting, the initiative fosters a culture of conservation and community ownership.
In collaboration with local governments, businesses, and residents, Nyumba Yangu, Mti Wangu contributes directly to achieving multiple Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
